Title: Curious Boy Character

Hidden Turtle
This illustration began with a watercolor stain that immediately suggested the shape of a turtle. The lighter tones at the bottom resembled the surface of water, inspiring the idea of portraying the turtle as partly submerged. The details were refined with colored pencil, and the addition of a small human figure highlighted the contrast between the turtle’s grandeur and human scale, giving the piece a subtle narrative dimension.
The Smiling Man
This work is part of an illustration exercise with objects. I recognized a human face in the form of a sharpener—the holes suggested the eyes and the overall shape resembled a head. Using Photoshop, I added details and turned it into a smiling man’s face in a suit. The raw object is shown on the right, while the final version is on the left. This exercise demonstrates how ordinary objects can inspire the creation of new characters and visual narratives.
