Musical Abstraction

Concept & Goal

This motion graphic was designed as an exercise to translate music into visual form. The aim was to capture the atmosphere of the composition and the dynamic interplay between instruments through minimal shapes and motion.

Visual Metaphors

  • Three large circles act as abstract symbols of the main instruments:

    • Cello (deep tones)

    • Piano (harmonic foundation)

    • Violin (higher melodies)

  • A cluster of smaller grey circles in the top-left corner represents the audience, quietly observing the performance.

Animation & Interaction

  • Piano lines change color with each keystroke, visually echoing the rhythm of the music.

  • Violin lines shift back and forth in synchronization with the violin’s sound, mirroring the expressive bow movements.

  • The cello provides a steady grounding presence, reinforcing the overall harmony.

Outcome

The animation runs for approximately 32 seconds. Visual changes are synchronized with the selected piece of music, and each instrument is represented through its own motion pattern.

Room 3

Concept & Goal

Designed with the purpose of animating a pendulum clock in a natural, realistic way, while placing it inside a creative and story-driven environment.

Narrative & Visuals

  • The video begins with a click, simulating the feeling of switching on a light.

  • The viewer is welcomed into “Room 3”, where a pendulum clock swings steadily.

  • Family portraits on the wall add emotional layers of memory, intimacy, and nostalgia.

Sound & Atmosphere

The motion is accompanied by the opening of Firouz’s Lebanese song, enhancing the mood and reinforcing the theme of time and memory.

Closure

  • After around eight seconds, a final click turns the light off, ending the scene and leaving behind a fleeting impression.

Tools & Techniques :Adobe Illustrator (asset design) + Adobe After Effects (animation).
Keyframing, timing, and sound synchronization were applied to achieve smooth movement and atmosphere.

Winex Spring Festival

Objective

The project was created as a short promotional video for Winex’s Spring Festival to present TD-LTE internet services and modems.

Sequence

  • The modems appear one by one.

  • The phrase “Winex Festival” is typed on screen.

  • When the cursor hovers over the word “Spring”, the text “TD-LTE Internet with modem” is displayed.

  • This text fades, and the final phrase “With special discount” is typed.

Design Approach

  • Spring visuals such as blossoms, rainbow, butterflies, and pastel colors were included to emphasize the seasonal theme.

  • Motion typography was used for clarity and to highlight the promotional messages.

  • Background music and click sound effects were synchronized with the text and cursor actions.

  • The duration was set to 9 seconds to ensure the message remained concise and effective within short-form advertising.
